RAMEN TATSU-YA BRINGS BACK TSUKEMEN (ORIGINAL RECIPE)
Tsukemen (Original Recipe) Returns To Ramen Tatsu-ya
Since opening the doors in 2012, Ramen Tatsu-ya has been dedicated to sharing authentic Japanese ramen. One of the dishes that helped define the menu early on was Tsukemen. Tsukemen, which translates to “dipping noodles,” offers a unique ramen experience. Instead of noodles served in hot broth, Tsukemen features cold thick noodles served alongside a hot, concentrated pork broth. Guests dip the noodles into the broth one bite at a time.
In recent years, we introduced a new Tsukemen version— Tsukemen 5.1—which had a lighter dipping broth and remixed some of the elements. While it gained a following of its own, the original remained unmatched in the eyes of many.
We heard you.
After receiving countless comments, messages, direct requests from our guests, and even stickers asking for a comeback, we’re thrilled to announce that the Tsukemen, the #5 – the original recipe – is back on the menu!
This version features:
Heartier dipping broth studded with chashu bits and layered with negi and mayu
A slice of tender, soy-braised chashu over the noodles
Nori, lime, and our classic Ajitama egg to finish it all off
Tsukemen (the original recipe) is available now for dine-in at all Ramen Tatsu-ya locations in Austin and Houston!
